In a busy ER it can be a challenge to slow down and really be present for people.  Let’s face it, being a patient in the ER it’s not really our best moment.  We’re vulnerable, often scared and unsure of what’s going to happen. There’s a lot of fear. In my life before, my tolerance level was low.  Now, I’m able to function from the point of view of the people I care for and I care for everyone very much.  For me, the people I take care of are people, not patients.  They are beings of love and light and I am connected to every one of them.  Compassion and love are my point of view. May you have a beautiful, healthy day! xox

    • On Patience….

Inner calmness allows for the bringing forth of such life-vivifying experiences!  When we are able to let go of the butterflies in our stomach, to soften the furrow in our brow and allow our breath flow in and out easily and effortlessly, a whole new world opens within that reflects without.

      Love to you  xox

    • The Wisdom of Joseph Campbell

Posted at 1:41 PM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on January 20, 2014

I saw this quote recently, and felt compelled to share it today.  To me, it means more than just the maturity that comes along with growing into adulthood and being able to support and take care of yourself.  It holds more of a spiritual meaning for me.

“You become mature when you become the authority for your own life.”

Joseph Campbell, “A Joseph Campbell Companion: Reflections on the Art of Living”

When we become the authority of our own life, we move into a state of being that is transcendent of the circumstances around us.  We are able to create the life of our choosing by allowing for its unfolding while using our creative intention to guide and direct ourselves.  The universe matches whatever we wish for in our life, and does so in its own time.  All it requires of us is to hold the intention, practice patience, and enjoy the ride ;]  This, to me, is maturity.

Lots of love to you all!
