    • The Power Of Intention

Posted at 7:15 AM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on February 20, 2015

I’ve been focusing my thoughts around this topic a lot lately, but not really intentionally lol.  It’s just sort of there and I’m paying attention to it.  I suppose it’s partly because of my desire to move forward in my life and the fact that I feel like the  things I want are taking too long to manifest….Patience….

The overarching reason for my being is to be of service to myself and others.  Within that are little desires, like loving and healthy relationships, good health, financial security, being surrounded by the beauty of nature, etc.  All of these, I believe, will help bring a greater richness to life on top of what I will receive through the work I do directly with people.  The energetic exchange between us can be so moving and so fulfilling and so very life-vivifying.  I’d like to have as many of those exchanges as possible while helping to relieve suffering through sharing my story and what I’ve learned.

Today, I intend to focus my energy on love, healing and joy and have faith all that I desire is manifesting as I’m doing it.

The Twelve Principles in practice….they are what I’m using through Intention to create my life today.

      Much Love xox

    • I AM BEYOND EXCITED!!!

Posted at 12:36 PM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on May 19, 2014

So a few days ago, I’m in the car, driving to somewhere, when I get an email.  I checked my phone, and see it’s from the International Association of Near Death Studies organization.  They were looking for speakers/presenters, etc for their upcoming conference in August, and I sent in a proposal to share my experience and talk about my forthcoming book, Lessons In Love:  Twelve Principles For Daily Living.

I get butterflies.  I’m terrified.  I’m thrilled.  I began to read through the email, and quickly got to the part where it starts…”We are pleased to…”  Then I shriek!  OMG!!  What a privilege and an honor it is to be chosen to share my experience with so many wonderful people!

Eben Alexander, the Neurosurgeon who wrote Proof of Heaven and Mary Neal, the Orthopedic surgeon who wrote To Heaven and Back are a few of the main speakers.  As a Physician Assistant, I was drawn to their personal perspectives on the subject of NDEs and how it changed them.  In fact, they are a big part of the reason I began to speak about my own experience after all these years.  Fear was not going to hold me back any longer.

For any of you who care to, let me know what questions you have about the afterlife, and I will try to answer them.  I’m so beyond excited to share!

    • Meditation Saves Lives.

Posted at 2:31 PM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on April 11, 2014

My own practice of mediation helped save me.  It helped save my husband, as well.

Several years ago, my husband became very sick.  It’s a long story, but ultimately he had no choice but to drastically change his life.  He’d been living one of self-destruction, and it was taking its toll.  The source of the destruction was his thinking.  He began to meditate on a regular basis, and that was critical in his personal transformation.

Prior to this, I had begun meditating.  I’d done so to really save myself.  We were going through a difficult time as a family, and only in meditation did I find my solace.  I found myself again.

I know this sounds a little abstract, but in the silence lies the truth of who we are.

In my NDE, I was reconnected with it, and it was loving silence.  The only senses I had were the feeling of emotion and vision.  The eyes are the windows to the soul.  That statement took on a whole new meaning for me after my experience.

In meditation lies ourselves.  Do it regularly, and your life will transform.

    • The Procrastination–Ego analogy…

Posted at 10:09 AM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on February 4, 2014

….mirror images….the “devil” on my left shoulder, poking me with it’s pitchfork while my “angel” speaks kindly to me on my right.

Why do I listen to the pokey-pitchfork-devil-annoying thing more often these days than not?

The answer is:  because I am living from my ego.  Plain and simple.

When my psyche is telling me I am to complete a task, even as mundane as bringing out the trash, and instead I sit down and turn on the television, I am living from ego.

Now, I am not always conscious of this.  Why am I not conscious?  Because ego is running the show.

How do I become conscious?  Through awareness of my resistance toward whatever it is I am choosing not to do.  Any task or undertaking that enters my consciousness is there because it is supposed to be there.  When dismissed by ego, I have become temporarily stuck to it, unable to move into the next moment with ease.

      Now, for that garbage….
