    • Attachment vs. Detachment

Posted at 7:53 AM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on June 11, 2015

Being an Aquarius, I tend to go back and forth between being really attached and deeply affected by the pain others are going through, to the point where my mental space is constantly occupied by it.  I want to help fix it, to make it better so we all can feel better, but that’s not always the best thing.  So, I detach.  That way I’m less affected.  The polarity of the two can make it seem like I’m “hot” and “cold” when what I’m really trying to do is avoid emotional pain.  This is something I’m just now realizing about my self.

What led me to realize it?  Emotional pain.  Not on an incredibly deep level, but all-encompassing, if that makes any sense.  My point of reference to my self and the world around me suddenly shifted when something was removed from my life, and I realized how very much attached I’d become to it.  Here’s my dilemma…

I want to love deeply, to experience all of life and squeeze as much out of each experience as I can..to really feel it, yet I am afraid of being hurt so I hold back emotionally, appearing aloof and uncaring at times.  That’s not how I want to be.  So, how do I change it?

Love, but don’t attach.  I love everyone.  i really do.  But, I don’t attach my self to them because I feel pain if something happens that my ego doesn’t want to happen.  That’s not really loving detachment then.  Loving and being in love, really being in it, free from fear, is my lesson now.  Ego has to take a back seat for this to happen.  It’s the way I need to live in this world to be happy, joyful and free 🙂  I bless my lessons that led me to this place.  I am grateful for the things that led me here.  I wasn’t able to say that yesterday.

      xoxo

    • Gratitude Challenge…..

Posted at 8:04 AM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on February 18, 2015

What would happen if we nurtured the feeling of Gratitude for everything that happens today…  Gratitude for all the wonderful things, the annoyances and frustrations, all of it!  How would having Gratitude for everything alter our experience of ourselves and the world around us?  Try it!

    • Being Who We Are

Posted at 3:00 PM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on January 30, 2015

      Authenticity.

It’s something we have, but don’t always show it.  We are authentically ourselves, yet hide that person out of fear.  What is it we fear?  Judgement, ridicule, etc.  Why?  Because we have either been the target of it or have done it ourselves.

What if we didn’t hide?  What if the very thing we feared was our ticket to happiness?

We came into this world, this particular incarnation, to live from our authenticity and create the life we desire.  It is a life that no one else can create and its necessity cannot be measured.

We owe it to ourselves and to others/the world to be that person.  Be happy.  Be yourself.  xoxox

    • The Law of Attraction Works!

Posted at 9:24 PM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on June 17, 2014

I can speak to this point for days and give countless examples about how it’s helped me to manifest my own desires, but what I’d like to do is share a story about a friend who had the experience of the LOA working in her life.

Katie is in LA temporarily with her daughters who have a lot of activities in and around the city.  She’s driving them here and there constantly, and finds herself stuck in traffic all the time.

Just before she left we had a discussion about the LOA and how it can help improve one’s life.  She said she’d give it a try, and I heard from her today that it’s worked several times already!  She manifested a smooth, traffic-free trip twice, and both times there was little traffic when normally there would be quite a bit.

This is a small example of the power of our intentions and the will of the Universe to work with us along our life’s journey 🙂

      Love this stuff!!  xoxo

    • The Journey

Posted at 8:38 AM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on May 7, 2014

Experience is gained along our journey, which gives us wisdom.  Conscious living through awareness, along with experience and wisdom, help to re-create our true selves here, in the body.  To what degree this happens is based on the degree of our ability to know and share love.

      Love to you all!!

    • I’m Getting There….

Posted at 2:51 PM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on April 26, 2014

So, yesterday I had a huge breakthrough.  I found my voice.

It’s an essential step in the writing process, and I’ve found it!!

For months and months, my writing hasn’t been quite what I wanted it to be.  It’s energy was all wrong.

Last night, I wrote how I wanted to write, (not how I thought I should write) and didn’t over think it, and didn’t judge.  I allowed myself to bring “me” forward onto the page, and ultimately, into the world.

My book Lessons In Love:  Twelve Steps for Daily Living will be released as an Ebook next month.  In it, I talk about my near death experience and how it allowed me to find who I was in the life I was living, and to live in a way that is in alignment with who we are in our very essence.  I’ve found a way to communicate what is beyond words, and break it down into steps we can take to create a life that is in alignment with that essence.

I’m so freaking excited to share it with all of you!!!

      Stay tuned…..:)

      Krista

    • Death and After Life

Posted at 2:29 AM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on February 26, 2014

These words confuse me a little.

We call no longer living death.  We call death the after life.  But, what is death, really?

In my experience, death is the transition from the physical form in this 3-D world to a less dense existence in the “spiritual” realm.  We are still “alive” though, just in a different space with a different awareness.

      It’s all about awareness.

What I learned in my “afterlife” was we get to choose our awarenesses, everywhere, all the time. Whether in physical form or spiritual form, we choose.  Based on our choices, we create and co-create our experiences.

Death is not the end, it is a transition.  It is a transition of consciousness from one awareness to another.  It’s a shift from here, to there.   A movement from life to life.

This picture was taken in the Bahamas a few years ago.  I loved the tangled beauty of the branches that seemed to reach out to the sky like fingers ready to grasp the unknown.

      Love,

      Krista 🙂

    • Go Lightly

Posted at 10:45 PM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on December 11, 2013

Life can be heavy.  With all there is to weigh us down, we can easily become crushed under its weight.

Life can be light.  With all there is to lift us up, we can rise out of the darkness, and smile down on what’s left behind.

At any moment, there is the potential for both.  We can choose to be heavy, and carry the weight of our negative thoughts and beliefs, or we can choose to be light, by inflecting our thoughts toward the positive.

      I choose to be light….and I choose again…..and again….and again…..
