    • Choosing To Live (using Twelve Principles For Daily Living)

Posted at 8:55 AM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on April 12, 2021

One thing that I find myself doing on a daily basis, sometimes hourly basis…sometimes minute by minute, is choosing to Live. That’s with a capital “L”. It’s so easy to move through my day, weeks, month going through the motions of life rather than really living them.

What do I mean by that?

I mean: When my husband stops me in the hallway for a hug and and a kiss, I stop myself, both physically and mentally, bringing myself into that moment and being fully Present. I get to experience him/us in a way I could not had I continued on with the thoughts and the forward momentum of my day. I get to appreciate that moment we shared, which is then stored as a memory in every cell of my body…a memory of Love.

I mean: When I’m doing various tasks throughout the day, paying attention to where my thoughts are, where my attention lies. Focusing on enjoyment of the process of life in that moment. If it’s something I usually find tedious or don’t like doing, easing into an energetic space of gratitude for simply being physically able to do it. Simple, isn’t it?

I mean: When faced with challenges which would potentially cause emotional pain, stepping into a Loving space where I am willing to walk through the fear, the unknown, with the overarching energy that all is always well and I have the ability to shift myself into a better feeling place any time I desire to, and that if I have created a situation which feels less than good, I can create something that feels better too.

We are NEVER victims of our circumstances. We have created them, along with the Universe, for a purpose sometimes greater than what we may presently comprehend or feel. Setting judgement of those circumstances aside and simply Loving eases everything. Awareness of our participation in the creation and of our power to create something better. Willingness to move forward in Love. Patience for the better-feeling situation we are intending to manifest. Faith that it will. Compassion for ourselves and others. Understanding our Miraculous, Spiritual nature and how, as Creative beings, we get to design the life we desire then Lovingly going about designing it from that moment forward. This is Life!

      Love to you all! xox

    • Managing Fear

Posted at 7:37 PM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on July 31, 2020

Let’s take a look at one scenario. Come up with a specific fear you have. Feel it through, in your body. Notice how your body feels when your mind imagines this hypothetical situation. Does your stomach turn or have butterflies? Does your breathing become a bit faster? Do you feel blood rushing to your head? Does it feel good or not so good?

What is fear? Let’s unpackage it a bit….

Fear is not just one thing. Fear is a constellation of multiple dynamic energies all working at once. Some work together, some seemingly alone, but all end up influencing the outcome.

When we are in a state of fear, not only is our body responding physiologically to the hormones being released in a fight-or-flight response to the autonomic nervous system stimulation from our interpretation of the thoughts we are having in that moment, but once the physiologic response happens it sort of loops back in a type of reflex for more thoughts on the same subject. We almost get carried away on the wings of the thoughts. We loose control.

How do we get some of that control back? Through focusing our attention on what we want to be rather than what we don’t want to be, i.e. whatever our fear is, we imagine the opposite. Use that creative mind power to envision something better.

Talk yourself down from it. Remind yourself that you are a powerful creator and can create or uncreate anything you choose to place your focus on. Don’t chastise yourself or be mean to yourself if you have to keep doing it because it will get easier and easier as you go along. It takes a dedication of your energy to continually go back and refocus, but the outcome is so worth it! The outcome of a better feeling, even for just a few moments. The outcome of what you desire to happen rather than what you don’t desire to happen, or maybe something close to it. Try it. You’ll see.

Tell yourself that all is well, that everything is working out for you and everyone involved. That it’s working out even when others observe it and say the opposite. You can believe differently.

Write affirmations about whatever subject you are fearful about and put them in your pocket. Pull them out and remind yourself of how powerful you are at creating what you desire to experience rather than what you don’t desire. I put them on my bathroom mirror, in my car, on the fridge, in my scrub pocket. Anywhere you are inspired to where you know you’ll see them and be re-minded of what you desire. This helps so much to refocus the mind and bodies’ energy on what we want.

If the fear creeps back in, repeat all of the above. Over and over. Until you no longer require it. Have faith until you have experience, then there is no need for faith.

      Much Love!! xoxo

    • COVID-19–A Lesson In Growth

Posted at 5:21 AM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on April 26, 2020

We’ve all heard the saying “There are no guarantees in life.”  Dying while in labor with my daughter was the last thing I expected to happen that morning.  I had the expectation of a safe delivery, but that expectation was not met.  I had all these plans for my life afterward, but those plans changed, and in a big way.

This virus has no consideration for the outline you have of your life.  It is here, and may not be going anywhere.  Consider that for a moment.  A virus that we know little about, one there is no vaccine or at this point, no medications to treat, may be a continuous threat for the foreseeable future.  Our lives have been fundamentally altered in one foul swoop, leaving many reeling, wondering how they are going to manage themselves now.

Our personal and professional lives, in some cases, have been turned upside down.  From the cashier at any store in America to the physician (or physician assistant in my case ;), the financial impact of this pandemic is significant, for some irreversibly damaging to their lively hood.

But, I ask you, is this a “bad” thing?

We are here to expand in awareness of who we are.  We are here to connect with ourselves in a fundamental way so we may then better connect with one another.  It is through our connections that we grow and become Who We Are.  Sometimes things need to be shaken up in a big way for this to happen.  No matter the source of this virus, whether you believe the scientists or the conspiracy theorists, its here.  My question is, what are you going to do with the time you have on this earth, right now?   Are you going to continue on in the same way as before?  My guess is the world won’t let you.  None of us are going to be able to, and that’s a good thing.

Focusing on what we have gained from this virus being present at this time in our lives, rather than what it has taken, completely turns our experience around.  We go from the perception of loss to one of gain.  We have gained time either alone, or with family.  We have gained time to consider where we are in our lives and where we’ve always wanted to be.  What is your hearts desire?  What do you want to do that you haven’t done yet because fear has kept you from it?

Now.  Now is the time to make the changes that will allow for greater growth and spiritual expansion.  Fighting the changes, lamenting about how life will never be the same, keeps you stuck in the old when all your soul wants is to let the new rush in.

Say “YES” to your life and your life will step up to meet you.  Every. Single. Time.

Much Love to you !!  xox

    • Why Wait?

Posted at 10:47 PM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on December 14, 2019

I love creating my life.  I love imagining what it is I’d most like to do with my days, of the experiences I’ll have and people I’ll connect with.  I love putting myself there and feeling the excitement of being in places where there are many others just like me, all sharing and growing and enjoying.

There’s one part of this process, though, that I am only now beginning to really take part in in the way I know I’ve needed to in order for all I desire to come about.  That is the experience of true ease and joy along the way.

I’ve been waiting for this state of being to come in the way it is now.

Lately, I’ve been feeling very different.  Different in the sense that, I’m still me, yet I’m a new and improved version of me.  I feel calmer, even more so than before (and I’m quite chill to begin with lol).  This calm is infused with more love, deeper love, than before and it is unconditional.

      I just feel great!

      And greatful!

      Much Love to you all!!

      xoxo

As I’ve gotten older, there’s something I’ve come to understand better.  That this life, this existence, is to be LIVED.

Not trudged through, not skimmed over.  We are meant to dive into it with every bit of ourselves and swim in its beauty and ugliness.  We’re here to experience the divine in all of it.  Every bit is as it is with the purpose of helping to mold ourselves into who we chose to be when we came here.  We are not victims of our lives, we are the creators of it.  We get to choose whatever we want to be here in these bodies.  When life starts to pile up with the demands of the outside world, remind yourself of your divinity and the reason you came here.  Create the time to focus on that, then create that.

      Much Love to you! xoxo

    • What I Did This Weekend

Posted at 12:42 PM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on October 21, 2019

I had the privilege of spending the last four days with other beautiful souls sharing our hearts and growing and expanding in love at an NDE retreat.  It was not only for those who’d had an NDE but also for others who have had Spiritually Transformative Experiences (STE’s) and those who were seeking answers to their spiritual questions.

At at lovely hotel on the ocean, we gathered together to share our individual stories and support one another in the inevitable growth that resulted.  Our ability, as a group, to show unconditional love for one another was incredibly inspiring.  Many did not know anyone at first but by the end of the weekend everyone was embraced and known to everyone else as family.

What was the magic of all of this?  How could a group of adults bare their hearts and share their souls with one another without fear? Love.  Love was the fuel, the glue, the elixir.  We all simply had unconditional love for one another.  We were a microcosm of the world, contained in a little room in a hotel, laughing and crying and discovering new aspects of ourselves with the support of the universe embracing us all.

      Feeling so much love!! oxo

    • Words Of Wisdom From Charlie Chaplin

“As I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth. Today, I know, this is “AUTHENTICITY”.

As I began to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody if I try to force my desires on this person, even though I knew the time was not right and the person was not ready for it, and even though this person was me. Today I call it “RESPECT”.

As I began to love myself I stopped craving for a different life, and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow. Today I call it “MATURITY”.

As I began to love myself I understood that at any circumstance, I am in the right place at the right time, and everything happens at the exactly right moment. So I could be calm. Today I call it “SELF-CONFIDENCE”.

As I began to love myself I quit stealing my own time, and I stopped designing huge projects for the future. Today, I only do what brings me joy and happiness, things I love to do and that make my heart cheer, and I do them in my own way and in my own rhythm. Today I call it “SIMPLICITY”.

As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for my health – food, people, things, situations, and everything that drew me down and away from myself. At first I called this attitude a healthy egoism. Today I know it is “LOVE OF ONESELF”.

As I began to love myself I quit trying to always be right, and ever since I was wrong less of the time. Today I discovered that is “MODESTY”.

As I began to love myself I refused to go on living in the past and worrying about the future. Now, I only live for the moment, where everything is happening. Today I live each day, day by day, and I call it “FULFILLMENT”.

As I began to love myself I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick. But as I connected it to my heart, my mind became a valuable ally. Today I call this connection “WISDOM OF THE HEART”.

We no longer need to fear arguments, confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others. Even stars collide, and out of their crashing new worlds are born. Today I know “THAT IS LIFE”!”

    • Manifestation

Posted at 9:36 AM by Krista Gorman, PA-C, on March 10, 2019

The Law Of Attraction and the idea of manifestation of what we desire is such a multidimensional topic.  It cannot be fully addressed in one blog post, so I’ll take it in chunks….

In my NDE, I learned we are all manifesting all the time and for each desire the Universe (which is pure, detached, unconditional Love) responds in kind.  We make it difficult or simple, depending on how strongly we are in alignment with what it is we desire.  Now, keeping in mind that we are all the physical manifestation of Love energy but most aren’t fully in touch with that (which is the reason for the Twelve Principles For Daily Living), fundamentally we are all creating from that point of attraction.  All is Love, so whatever manifests is that same Love.

That may sound like it doesn’t make sense.  What about “bad” things?  What about things we don’t like?  What about really horrible things?

While my answer may be difficult to understand right this minute, you will in time.  We all do.  There is no “bad”.  Ever.  The same way no one is actually “judged” when they get to “heaven”,  there is nothing here on earth that is not Love in the eyes of the Universe.  There is no judgement.  All things happen for a higher purpose.  That is not to say we should all do whatever we want because ultimately it’s all ok.  No, that is not why we’re here.  We’re here to consciously re-member who we are and we create/co-create with the Universe a life that brings us back to that.  Along the way, we experience the contrast of suffering so we may know Love.  We couldn’t have one without the other and we couldn’t have the experience of the strength of one or the other without the varying degrees of each.  That is where Compassion comes in, the recognition of our oneness through the identification with suffering.  Some are more compassionate than others, which means some are more connected with who they really are than others.  No right or wrong, it just is.

      More later…Love to you all!
