What would happen if we nurtured the feeling of Gratitude for everything that happens today… Gratitude for all the wonderful things, the annoyances and frustrations, all of it! How would having Gratitude for everything alter our experience of ourselves and the world around us?
Simply having an attitude of appreciating, of holding within us that feeling of being truly grateful releases feel-good chemicals in our bodies. These chemicals flow in our blood, through our organs, stimulating and nourishing all the cells in our body. It connects us closer to ourselves and others, nourishing relationships and enhancing our lives and therefore the lives around us.
Gratitude and appreciation are love in action, and are choices until they become second nature. That same love in action must include ourselves in the mix. When we are the torch-holders of love for ourselves, that love spills over to all things increasing the love in the world. It can’t be helped!
Try it!

I had a painkiller addiction and after it ran its course (tolerance!), I joined a support group. My sponsor suggested I do a gratitude list each morning. I didn’t see how it would make a difference. I only wrote honestly. Not what I thought I should be grateful for, but what I really was–like for my Coke first thing in the morning, a new CD I bought that gave me joy and made me feel more connected and strong, etc. It made such a difference to my life!!

An attitude of gratitude shifts us away from ego into a state of allowing and life flows easier xoxo
