It’s my experience that we are all interconnected, not only on this plane, but in the afterlife as well. Our conscious awareness of this interconnection is less acute here, for most of us anyway.
Before my NDE, I would have moments of this awareness, and fundamentally believed in it. I understood it to be present as a current underlying all of life. The difference between my experiences then and now is the depth and breadth of this awareness. Today, as a result of my NDE, I see and re-cognize myself in everything and everyone. It’s somewhat surreal, and kind of freaks me out sometimes!
I know my own individual journey in this life is no more important or significant than that of the smallest creature or greatest human being. Simultaneously, it is irrefutably the most important thing…but, so is everyone and everything else’s

There is something in the Hindu philosophy called the net of Indra, where we are described as jewels in the net of the universe, each reflecting those surrounding it. What a beautiful expression of our divine nature, along with being one of several explanations of why we are here, the other two being: to love and to be loved.
